New Live Edit semantic models in Direct Lake mode preview feature not working

Hello,

I have a model in Direct Lake mode and I want to edit it in Power BI Desktop with the new preview capability but I get the following error:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Any ideas what to do?

Hi @Sarien ,

Could you tell me where the /Live Edit semantic models in Direct Lake mode preview feature/ is enabled as you mentioned?

I created a Direct Lake semantic model in Lake House and then connected to that semantic model via the Power BI semantic model connector in Desktop.

Then I can make edits to the table, such as adding measures.

@Sarien , After enabling that feature, I have opened a new power bi file and connected to a direct lake model and able to add a measure

Please click on Copy error to clipboard and share. Make sure you have build permission on Semantic model
