Hi,
I've recently published a report which I created in Power Bi desktop to my online workspace. I've tested it out and the data is updating as it's supposed to. However, when I make a change to a text box or add an additional filter on a page in my desktop report it does not update on my workspace. I've tried refreshing multiple times and nothing has worked. Currently the only way around this is to replublish the report.
I did discover that I can edit the page in the online workspace to add this filter / change text. But then it doesn't update in the desktop version. I don't want to have to keep track of two versions, and I don't want to constantly be republishing. Is there anything else I can do? (new user here!)
Thank you!

I solved it. I didn't realize you could republish a report from the dashboard and "override" the current online workspace while still maintaining the original links shared with people. I was deleting the old one then republishing all over again which is why I was looking for a different way to update the text and such than publishing. Thanks everyone!

I have heard something about pinning live pages in the workspace which might solve this issue. Does anyone have any insight on that?
As per my knowledge,, pin live is for adding filters or slicers to the dashboard.
Do you mean if I pin live a filter from my desktop and later update it, that update will show on my workspace?
Yes, you need to implement the changes in desktop and need to republish it or you can implement in PBI serice online workspace and download the same file to not maintain two files. these are the two ways only.
No, unfortunately, there is no real way around that. You should make changes in the desktop changes and then publish those to the web version (because it's more difficult to sync the other way around).
