Is anyone else unable to get the background color of the new card visual to adhere to 100% transparency?
When I turn the background to 100% transparency and place the card over another visual or object, the color remains filled (white).
Hi @murphyse ,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.
The behavior you’re seeing with the new Card visual is a known issue, the background does not fully support 100% transparency yet and defaults to a white fill, even when turned off. This has already been reported to the product team.
As a temporary workaround, you can switch to the classic card visual or use a custom background shape behind the card. If the issue persists in the next update, please report it directly through Help > Report a problem in Desktop or raise a support tickect with microsoft so the engineering team can capture diagnostic details.
We appreciate your feedback as improvements to the new Card visual are ongoing.
Thank you.
I am also experiencing this issue, the new reference label layout has broken almost all of our KPI card designs.
Left is default after the update and right is setting the reference labels layout - background = Off
I'm also seeing the same exact issue, except it appears normally in Power BI Service. So I guess its an issue with PBI Desktop then.
Turning the background off just makes the card the color white, rather than transparent or taking on the color of the visual or canvas beneath the card visual.
instead of changing the tranparency to 100%, you can also try turn off the backgroud

Is this in the Nov release of PBID? I've seen other reports of issues with the new card visual, this might be another issue.
