Hi.
I have a matrix which has a column heading and column subheadings as shown below. I would like to change the background color of the top heading. So Actual would be a different color and October Forecast would be a different color. Any thoughts on how to do this? Version 2.141
Thank you

Hi @FOXYBARK,
Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.
You're correct in observing that the matrix visual in Power BI Desktop allows for hierarchical column headers (like "Actual" and "October Forecast"), but unfortunately, it does not currently support separate background colors or formatting for individual column header groups.
As @lbendlin mentioned, this level of customization isn't possible with the standard visual at this time. The formatting options for matrix headers apply uniformly across all column headers, with no native way to style specific header levels differently.
If this is a key requirement for your report design, I also recommend submitting or upvoting a suggestion on the Ideas Forum forum so the product team can consider it for future releases.
I would also take a moment to thank @lbendlin, for actively participating in the community forum and for the solutions you’ve been sharing in the community forum. Your contributions make a real difference.
If I misunderstand your needs or you still have problems on it, please feel free to let us know.

Not possible with a standard visual.
