Hi Experts,
I would like to extract a few tables data from Oracle and import into Fabric data warehouse for analysis. I googled a lot, but I still haven't any idea. Would someone give me some advices, pls? I checked that for Oracle DB, an on-premises data gateway is required when getting data from Oracle and load into Fabric data warehouse. As someone told me, the gateway must be always on. Therefore, except the data gateway, is there other way to copy data from Oracle and import into Fabric data warehouse, pls? I also want to schedule the job/script to be running at night.
Many thanks
Toms

Hi @TomsNg
You definitely need a Gateway if you want to refresh Orcale data in Power BI Service, I would think it would be similar for any job you want to run. You need this driver on the Gateway machine for it to work. https://www.oracle.com/database/technologies/odac-downloads.html
Maybe ask your IT team if there is a VM available that runs Windows and install the driver there, the DBA team would then need to allow the IP of the VM to connect to the Database.
Thanks
Joe
