Need to calculate %Growth each month and amount of customers changed?

Hi I want to calculate 2 thing in my existing powerbi report,

1. % Customer Growth for as compared to previous and current month?

2. names of the customers that added as compared to previous day and current day (if in my date slicer I select start date as 7 Jan and end date as 8th Jan then the measure should give me names of the customers that got added for 8th Jan and what are there count as well)?

Now I have 2 tables in my report (ZSD, Customer Master), in customer master the field that should be used to calculate above is (Customer-NA.Customer-NA Level 01) this should be calculated as a count and names of customer using above.

I have also my date column in ZSD table named as (Calendar Year/Month.Calendar Year/Month Level 01). What are the best possible ways to calculate the above scenerios?

Here is my Powerbi file: https://ifitech-my.sharepoint.com/:u:/g/personal/anmol_ganju_ifi_tech/EdU-EpxGb9pHptzEZKlTQg4BFG2Mdy...

Hi @Anmolgan ,

  1. You can try this measure to calculate %Growth rate:

calculate growth rate.png

And you will get the following result:

2.You can try this measure:

And here is a demo, please try it:

@v-yingjl I was not able to access the report. can you give me a custom link so that I can access it.

@v-yingjl after recreating the suggested measure for growth I found that you were not using the correct column, you need to use the

'Customer Master_Q001'[Customer-NA.Customer-NA Level 01 column.

also the rate is not making much sense to me can you look into this moreScreenshot (105).png

Hi @Anmolgan ,

I have created another demo link so that you can try it , and the mesaure has been changed:

PBIX ,

@v-yingjl  Thanks for your reply, but i think you are still not using the correct table/measure you are using ZSD tables Customer-NA.Customer-NA Level 01.Key column however I only want Customer Master tables Customer-NA.Customer-NA Level 01 column, do I just need to replace where ever ZSD tables Customer-NA.Customer-NA Level 01.Key column is present with my Customer Master tables Customer-NA.Customer-NA Level 01 column??

Hi @Anmolgan ,

You can not just replace ZSD tables Customer-NA.Customer-NA Level 01.Key column into Customer Master tables Customer-NA.Customer-NA Level 01 column, you can try the measure to check whether the %growth rate is correct:

@v-yingjl Why I asked to replace it is becausae I want to see growth rate as per customer master column and not the ZSD column.

@v-yingjl  Thanks will try asap
