I have a report that I own and have access to the dataset and everything that at some point the connection became a live connection (not sure how or when exactly) which is preventing me from downloading the report and data set together and being able to edit the table in the desktop app using power query.
Is there a way to somehow revert that data connection back to what it was before. I don't want to have to completely recreate the report but I haven't figured out a way to change the connections in a way that will give me back the ability the transform the data. From what I can tell this is not a permissions or setting issue limiting my ability to download the file.

Solved: How do I switch "Live Connection Power BI dataset"... - Microsoft Fabric Community
Referring to edhans reply, probably you need to recreate a PBIX file.
Also, remember to always backup your work before making any changes to avoid losing any data. Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
