Need help in dax calculation - Total value should reflect when specific condition is true

Hi there,

I have use Table Visual in Power BI. Can anyone help me to get the Total value of Earned Cost when isterminal is true

The other rows should be calculating and showing

I tried this

Earned Cost =
IF(
    HASONEVALUE(Projects[Project ID]),
    CALCULATE(SUM(CurrentBudget[CBEarnedTotalCostToDate]),CostItem[Is_terminal]=true),
    CALCULATE(SUM(CurrentBudget[CBEarnedTotalCostToDate]))
)

But the output is excluding the isTerminal = False. I want the full data set but the total should be showing when isterminal is True

  • Hi ashmitp869  - Create a new measure will calculate the sum based on whether it is in the row context (for individual rows) or in the total context.

    you want to calculate the sum of CBEarnedTotalCostToDate for the rows where Is_terminal is True only for the total row, while showing all rows in the table visual.

    Earned Cost =
    IF(
    ISINSCOPE(Projects[Project ID]),
    SUM(CurrentBudget[CBEarnedTotalCostToDate]),
    CALCULATE(SUM(CurrentBudget[CBEarnedTotalCostToDate]), CostItem[Is_terminal] = TRUE)
    )
