    Hi sagittarius_111 ,

     

    Thank you for bringing this up. I understand the situation can be confusing. Currently, query caching is supported only for Import mode semantic models in Power BI Premium or Power BI Embedded.

    It is not available for DirectQuery or LiveConnect datasets, which is why the option is not visible in your case. For embedded reports, there is no separate caching setting they follow the dataset configuration.

    If you are experiencing performance issues, you may consider alternatives such as switching your model or part of it to Import mode, utilizing composite models, or implementing aggregation tables to reduce the load on the data source.

There are limitations about enabling this feature. Check Query caching in Power BI Premium - Power BI | Microsoft Learn for details.

For example, if your embedded report is connected directly to a DirectQuery dataset, caching must be enabled on the dataset in the workspace where it’s deployed.

And there is no separate “embedded query caching” setting, embedded reports respect the dataset’s cache settings.
