I have a matrix visual with dataset, this is an example
Rows is State
Column is Year
Values is Sum formula
Hello!
I'm trying to figure out how to get the matrix visual to sort the column by year in the order of latest year to earliest year. 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021 but I'm not getting any where with it. Is this a limitation with Power BI?? I have tried a custom column that adds a dash in front of the year but that doesn't look right and I've tried similar by adding a custom column in the transformation... it all does not look good looking like this -2024 | -2023 | -2024.
The image below is what is happening today, the red indicate how I want the columns to be sorted by latest to earliest year 2024 | 2023 | 2022 | 2021. I do not want a solution that places a dash in front of the year, I know it's a workaround but not ideal for my situation. I appreciate ANY and all help. Thank you in advance!

Hi @Anonymous
I hope you already created columns for -2024 | -2023 | -2022
Just change your year column sort by option to a negative column (follow the image below) (I am using custom FY, you can use same for Calendar Year)
Let me know if it works

Hi @PijushRoy - yes I already have a custom column for -2024 | -2023 | -2022
I hope this explains the challenge but your solution doesn't work for me. It may work for someone else but not what I'm looking for. I want to find a way to get Year 2024 to show as 2024 in the visual and to come before previous years. See the screenshot.
Hi @Anonymous , did you sort this issue out yet please?
