Need a formula for count not equal to a value

Hello,

I am trying to create a formula in dax where i am using the count function or variation of.

 

data table = current

Field name = area

 

I am looking for the total number of entries where the area field does not equal = "No Defect"

 

There are about 15 different values in Area I want those to be counted. 

 

Any help is greatly appreciated

    Try the following formula, I think this should help you out.

     

     

    Count Area= CALCULATE(COUNTROWS(current), FILTER(current,current[area] <> "No Defect"))

    Try the following formula, I think this should help you out.

     

     

    Count Area= CALCULATE(COUNTROWS(current), FILTER(current,current[area] <> "No Defect"))

    What about if you wanted to count excluding mulitple "Values"? I have columns for A, B, and C. I need one for "Other" to count anything else in the column that's not A, B, or C.
