Need Help: The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect..

Hello everyone, 

 

I am new to Power BI and had this issue come up when trying to open the file (screenshot below). The file was working last week and I didn't do anything unusual that would cause this to happen. 

 

Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Hello everyone, 

     

    I'm pretty new to Power BI and keep getting this message when I try to open the desktop app. I can open the file via the web but I cannot refresh.

     

    Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Hi Anonymous ,

    Please try below steps:

    1. uninstall the Power BI Desktop 

    2. install the latest PowerBI Desktop
