Navigator Date Range Variable does not work in SAP connection

I am connecting to SAP Warehouse data.  In the Navigator there are date range filters.  I first tried comparing ranges 1/1/2016 to 10/25/2016 with 1/1/2017 to 10/25/2017.   The query returned all data results back to 2012.  I then tried comparing 1/1/2017 to 10/25/2017 with 1/1/2017 to 10/25/2017 trying to narrow the results down to only 2017 results and as shown below, data back to 2012 appeared again.  Is this a glitch in the Power BI to SAP connection or something else.

Thx...keep me posted.  I am working on a high profile project and this issue has left me DOA at the moment.
