Navigation from Card or KPI Card to report

You can create navigation from a Card or KPI Card visual to another report page (like your detailed Sales Report) using one of these methods:

Option 1: Using “Page Navigation” Action (Recommended)

1. Select the Card visual (or KPI visual).
2. In the Visualizations pane, go to the Format section → expand “Action”.
3. Turn Action to ON.
4. Under Type, choose “Page navigation”.
5. In Destination, select the report page you want (e.g., Sales Report).
6. Optionally, add a tooltip message under “Tooltip” (e.g., “Click to view detailed sales report”).

Now, when users click on the Card, Power BI will navigate directly to that page.

Option 2: Using a Button Overlay (for KPI visuals or advanced style)

If your KPI or Card visual doesn’t allow an action directly:

1. Insert a transparent button or shape (rectangle) on top of your Card visual.
2. Turn on Action → choose “Page navigation” → select your Sales Report page.
3. Adjust the transparency and border so it looks invisible.

• This keeps your original Card design intact but adds clickable navigation.

Option 3: Navigate to Another Report (Cross-report Drillthrough)

If you want to open a different report instead of a page:

1. Publish both reports to the same Power BI Service workspace.
2. Enable cross-report drillthrough on both reports (in the Service → Settings).
3. Set up matching fields (like Region, Product, etc.) for context passing.

Then, clicking on the Card can open the detailed Sales Report in another report file.
