Hi everyone,
I love the Force Directed Graph visualization, but is there a way to manually nail down where each node will sit (as in the ZoomCharts Network Chart), instead of relying on the charge to continually make that determination? I have a lot of nodes (200+ and planning on adding many more) and my map is getting crowded, so I'd like to spread everything out and arrange the placement of the nodes manually. Is there any way to do this in the Force Directed Graph, or is there another similar viz that will allow me to do this? The problem with the ZoomCharts viz or Network Navigator viz is that they don't use arrows on the links to denote causality, so I'd like to find a viz that shows that causal relationship but allows you to manipulate the nodes as well. Anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks!
@AriZadok,
Unfortunately, it is not possible to manually nail down each node in Force Directly Graph. We are only able to change the charge to make the determnination. Also I can found no custom visual that provides same functionality as force directly graph.

Lydia
Thanks for your reply. I suspected this was not doable with the visualizations as they are currently designed.
Would it be possible to edit the code to create my own custom visualization, so that it will do what I want it to do? If yes, then what coding language should I learn in order to do this, and how would I go about it?
Thanks!
@AriZadok,
The develop code of the custom visual is available in github, About how to change the code to meet your requirement, please post the question in Power BI Developer forum to get dedicated support.

Lydia
