Hi PowerRookie ,
Greg_Deckler advice is great, and you need to download the 64 bit correct MySQL connector.I'll refer you here to the link for the corresponding 64-bit connector.
You can download the ODBC driver (connector / ODBC) for MySQL from the following link, this connector works fine in my environment.
https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/odbc/
Below is the link will help you:
Solved: Cannot connect to local MySQL database. - Microsoft Fabric Community
c# - Cannot install Microsoft Power Bi Postgre SQL connector - Stack Overflow

it redirects straight to the following url https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/net/
I installed this one, restarted the computer, but nothing changed....

PowerRookie Is there a 64-bit version of that? Since Power BI is 64-bit, I would think it would need to be 64-bit.

I thought the same. I'm not that technical but I've read somewhere it is not mandatory. And there is no such thing as an 64bit connector in the latest versions... But (If i'm correct) in somehow it is compatible with this version...
