My dataset is not refreshing

Hi All,

I am running into an issue where my dataset keeps giving me an error everytime i try to manually refresh it or implement a scheduled refresh on it.

The error it gives me is as follows:

Data source error: Scheduled refresh is disabled because at least one data source is missing credentials. To start the refresh again, go to this dataset's settings page and enter credentials for all data sources. Then reactivate scheduled refresh.

Can someone provide me with a way to fix this?

Thank you

The Power Bi Service stops working today after 11.00 a.m. We updated to the last gateway and restarted the server, but the service does not do anything. Do you know if there is any problem?

Thank you for the suggestions. I have tried all the recommended steps, but the "Data Source Credentials" area is still grayed out. My model also uses R script code, noty sure if this might be causing the issue.
If anyone has any ideas, please do reply.

Best regards,

Hi,

I did forget to mention that the data source credentials option is greyed out for some reason as well.

Hi @RandomUser06 ,

As the error message says, the Power BI Service is missing the credentials in order to log into the data source and fetch the data.

So, you need to add back the credentials like below:

find your dataset in Power BI, click on the three dots, then Settings:

After, find Data source credentials and click Edit credentials:

Finally, update the credentials.

Does this work? 🙂
