My SQL Connector Error - 'The handshake failed due to an unexpected packet format.'

Hi All - wondering if you could help? I am trying to connect to MYSQL and getting the following error - 

Details: "An error happened while reading data from the provider: 'The handshake failed due to an unexpected packet format.'"

I can connect through workbench but can't figure out why i can't connect through PBI. 

Any ideas?

Could you connect to MySQL database from the server using CMD? If you couldn't, this issue should be on MySQL side, please check if the server name is valid and if you have permissions to access the database(e.g.: role permissions, firewall).

If you could connect to MySQL using CMD, please update power bi desktop to the latest version and check again.
