Multiplying row measure by a sum column measure

I have two measures:

1. 'Aged proposal value' which as per the below Dax takes a project's budget and applies multipliers based on the age of the proposal to produce a weighted income estimate for successful proposals:

Aged Proposal Value =
SUMX (
'DebtorMatters',
SWITCH (
TRUE (),
'DebtorMatters'[Proposal Days] <= 30, 'DebtorMatters'[Budget],
'DebtorMatters'[Proposal Days] > 30 && 'DebtorMatters'[Proposal Days] <= 90, 'DebtorMatters'[Budget] * 0.75,
'DebtorMatters'[Proposal Days] > 90 && 'DebtorMatters'[Proposal Days] <= 150, 'DebtorMatters'[Budget] * 0.30,
'DebtorMatters'[Proposal Days] > 150 , 'DebtorMatters'[Budget] * 0.0,
'DebtorMatters'[Budget]
)
)

2. The second measure is a table aggregate called 'project conversion rate', which just divides the count of successful projects by the count of total projects to produce a percent/proportion of our successful projects:

Project Conversion Rate = DIVIDE([Count Successful], [Count Valid Projects])

What I need to achieve is the value of the first measure which is a weight budget estimate per project, multiplied by the project conversion rate.

Thanks and appreciate your help.

  • You need to write a new measure for that.

    Please provide sanitized sample data that fully covers your issue. If you paste the data into a table in your post or use one of the file services it will be easier to work with. Please show the expected outcome.

    Hi Anonymous ,

    I'm not quite sure if I understand your needs accurately.
    Sample data without sensitive information and expected output would help tremendously.

    Hope it helps,
