Multiple tooltips for a matrix visual

Hi everyone,

I've a matrix visual that is displaying a few measures and one column. Now I'd like to have a tooltip that shows a value with three decimal places to have a more detailed view. I want the tooltip to show only one value, so if we hover over "Sale" column value in any cell it displays only the number from that cell.

I couldn't find any solid solution as some people say it's impossible, some people say it's possible via calculation group but I have no idea how to even use that.

Anyway, I've stumbled on this article - https://www.sumproduct.com/blog/article/power-bi-tips/multiple-tooltips-in-one-visual

It shows the exact solution that I need but I don't see the options regarding tooltip visiblity - "Show tooltip on" or "Show tooltip when" - on a tooltip page, I've tried creating new page, enabling modern tooltip in options for app and report etc. but still do not see these options.

I'm on 2.126.927.0 64-bit (February 2024) version, should this be possible on it?

Hi, thanks for the reply. I've checked all linked videos, unfortunately my matrix is a lot bigger, dynamic (you can drill down the items) and is not fixed as you can scroll through it (many rows) so it won't be possible to create a transparet visual over each cell.

Is there any other option? It could even be column based - if I hover over SALES column, it would display single values from cells from that column, etc.

From what I know that option is available only if you activate a preview feature.

From Options and Settings --> Options --> Preview features
    Than activate "On-Object interaction"

Pay attention this is going to change the UI in Power BI, so you need to get used to the new interface.

Close and re-open Power BI and now you'll have "Shot tooltip on"
