Multiple slicers averaging chart data
Hello,
I am working on a dashboard to incorporate a large amount of data from a Wastewater Treatment Facility (fig. 1). There is single line graph with multiple slicers working in a hierarchical type system. Each slicer relies on the previous slicer to determine what data set should be displayed. The slicer “hierarchy” is as follows; Process - Sample Location - Sample Description - Engineering Units (fig. 2). The goal is to have each hierarchical slicer path create a unique line and Legend designation. Much like how excel would handle this through pivot tables/pivot charts.
The issue I'm running into is when multiple "Sample Location" slicers are selected with a single "Sample Description" slicer selected, the graph is averaging the values out instead of creating 2 separate lines/legend designations. Please refer to fig. 3 & 4. The "Sample Description" field is being used as the Legend designation, but I would like to incorporate all 4 Slicer Selections (Process, Sample Location, Sample Description, and Engineering Units) in the Legend. This way the user can understand exactly what he/she is looking at in the graph.
Any possible solution or work around is much appreciated!
