Multiple slicer question/ dataset format question

Hello there, pretty new to this POWER BI thing and ran into a little trouble while putting toether a report. As the picture above shows, i want to have multi level filters that will allow me to 1) filter by city and 2) filter by year (2011 in the picture). The first chart contain population of the cities in 3 different years, while the second chart contains the same information but segmented by age ranges (0 to14, 15 to 64 etc). I want to be able to pick a city from the first slicer, then pick a year and have the second chart show the age based data. Cant figure out how to set up my excel table to achieve this, or if i'll have to use a DAX code, if so can anyone help me/point me in the right direction to a tutotial that deals specifically with my predicament.

Thanks so much!

    Hi golo34,

    How about a "slicer" visual?

Hey, I am actually using slicers. The issue I have is that, in you example you slice by names and year and I assume that each city and year has one sale price attached to it. My issue is that each city has three values under each year, so I'm not sure how to set up my data table in a way that it will allow me to slice by city and again to Alice by year in which the chart would then show the 3 values that corespond to the selected city and year.
