Multiple row groups on same level in matrix drilldownundefined
Is there any way to have multiple row groups appear on the same level in the matrix drilldown hierarchy?
So, for instance, if a top level matrix looks like this (with Stepped Layout property set to false) :
I'd like to click the + sign only once and have the both rowgroups, State and State Bird, displayed simultaneously.
The only way I can currently get it to work is that clicking the '+' will only step down one field at at time. So I'd need to click on the "+" on "Region", and then again on "State", for all fields to display.
Is this possible in power bi?

Hi, did you find a solution to this? It's super frustrating and should be a standard feature. Thanks!
Edit: There is actually a way
1. Turn off stepped layout and +/- icons2. Play with Row subtotals to only leave totals you want to see
In my example, it looks like this in the end

Hi , jmamer
Maybe you can create a new custom column which merge these two columns( "State" and " State Bird").
Then relpace the two columns with this new custom column in the matrix visual.

Thanks for the reply - but I'm looking for a solution that would allow me to keep them as two individual columns, I don't want one column with a concatenated string.

Hi , jmamer
I didn't find any related option in the matrix format pane .I'm afraid that it doesn't support to expand all levels at once currently.
For you requirement, you can come up with a new idea and add your comments there to make this feature coming sooner. https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas
