Multiple measures to compare different years

I have data with the following structure:

YearMonthSales
2023 Actuals1100
2024 Actuals1120
2025 Actuals1110
2025 FC1130
2025 Budget1125

It contains data for all months and the year is a year/plan combination.

I want to have multiple measures of this type: 2025 Actuals vs 2024 Actuals, 2025 Actuals vs 2025 FC, etc.. and also same comparisons but iņ percentage. Eventually if I create one measure per combination I will end up with many measures. Is there a best practice to deal with this situation? A better way to get these comparisons?

  • Your data is already in the right format. Let the user choose what they want to compare against each other, and use Visual Calculations to do the actual compare.

  • Hi zervino

If you really want to have less measures then use visual calculations

If you  want more flexibility, use regular DAX.
