Multiple levels in groups

Wondering if it's possible to have multiple levels in groups. For instance: I have office supplies and office equipment accounts, that I want to be grouped into a category called office charges - then I want that Office charges to roll up to a different group called cash expenses, that includes other accounts and groups. Seems like this isn't possible currently using the grouping function - I would need to create a measure or new column, is that correct?

I can post some sample data, but I think the first reply indicates that what I'm trying to do won't work (though it is a solution to my issue). In the snip below of some sample data you can see that I've created groups where cities are grouped by state. What I was looking to do is, in the report view of Power BI desktop, edit that group properties where I can further group the states into regions, so 'California' would be in a group called 'Southwest', and 'Minnesota' and 'Ohio' would be in a group called 'Midwest'. So the result would be groups with two levels: Regions, and then States. 

I'm assuming this isn't possible based on the first reply. My current solution was to create a new column that had the highest level group, and then use the grouping option in the report view to create the 2nd level of the groups. Let me know if that all makes sense.

I'm glad you solved it. There could be many approaches. But the Group function seems not the solution.
