Okay, so I need to look further into this, "They just need to be set up as users on the data source once your gateway is online."

I'm not in charge of our gateway but I've seen it being built and there is a list of users who have permission to use it. In the same way that you have a list of users able to see / use a workspace.

Originally, I was looking for this on the server where the gateway is installed by opening the gateway app. I found the list after logging into PowerBI.com and going to Manage Gateways. There you can add to the list the accounts that can administer this gateway.
