Multiple Table Relationships with the Stacked Column Chart
I have the following test tables:
Courses
| Id | SeminarTitle | Cost |
| 1 | Communicating with Alien Life Forms | 1000 |
| 2 | Newtonian Flight | 1000 |
| 3 | Zero Gravity Sports | 3000 |
| 4 | Zero Gravity Sports | 3000 |
| 5 | Communicating with Alien Life Forms | 1000 |
ClassTimes
| CourseId | Channel | Day | StartTime | EndTime |
| 1 | Nuclear Holocaust Survival Channel | Mon | 8:00 AM | 10:00 AM |
| 1 | Nuclear Holocaust Survival Channel | Wed | 8:00 AM | 10:00 AM |
| 1 | Nuclear Holocaust Survival Channel | Fri | 8:00 AM | 10:00 AM |
| 2 | SpaceX Haskell Club | Mon | 2:00PM | 4:00 PM |
| 2 | SpaceX Haskell Club | Wed | 2:00PM | 4:00 PM |
| 3 | Tesla Intramural | Sat | 11:00AM | 2:00 PM |
| 4 | Tesla Intramural | Sat | 4:00AM | 7:00 PM |
| 5 | SpaceX Haskell Club | Mon | 2:00 PM | 4:00 PM |
| 5 | SpaceX Haskell Club | Wed | 2:00 PM | 4:00 PM |
| 5 | SpaceX Haskell Club | Fri | 2:00 PM | 4:00 PM |
They have the this relationship:
When I tried to assign them to the Stacked Column Chart visualization, I got an incorrect revenue calculation for the “Communicating with Alien Life Forms” seminar:
The correct revenue amount for the “Communicating with Alien Life Forms” seminar should be $1000 from the Space X Haskell Club channel and $1000 from the Nuclear Holocaust Survival channel. If you add those values up, that would be $2000 in total revenue for the “Communicating with Alien Life Forms” seminar.
Unfortunately, my visualization is not showing the correct values. Instead, my visualization shows the “Communicating with Alien Life Forms” seminar as collecting $2000 from the Nuclear Holocaust Survival Channel and another $2000 from the Space X Haskell Club channel for a total of $4000 in revenue. This is twice the total revenue of $2000 that is shown in the Courses table.
How do I modify the Stacked Column Chart visualization to report the correct total revenue of $2000 for the “Communicating with Alien Life Forms” seminar?
