Multiple Bookmark actions conflicting and misleading user experience in Power BI

Hi Community,

I'm looking towards a suitable solution in handling multiple bookmark actions existing on a single page in my Power BI report.
Overview: According to the interface design and user experience, report consists of horizontal navigation for dicing between variety charts and insights by context like this:

Page has Toggle at the top to switch between yearly & monthly charts, slicers below and horizontal tab like navigation for by A, by B...by E category charts... right top corner (circled) we have icon for posting feedback.

Hence, toggling, horizontal navigation for changing category charts like tabs & feedback feature is all created by the dedicated bookmark and actions.

Problem Statement: As I have wide range of charts designed in this page (overall ~40 visuals) within toggling, navigations and so on.. wherein I've used 'All Visuals' option while updating these bookmarks actions for charts & actions respectively. Feedback bookmark is updated in the same way too. But when actioning upon that feedback button, it is going back to the state of visuals during which feedback bookmark was updated like below snap:

i.e. you can see even though the selected category in navigation shows 'by E' having donut charts, it is rendering 'by A' category's line charts & table back from where this feedback bookmark was updated actually.

In contrast, I avoided using 'Selected Visuals' option to choose only those required visuals from page to action upon that particular bookmark due to the fact that this page has wide range of charts and corresponding bookmarks to them, so everytime selecting so many visuals and updating bookmark was even conflicting, tedious and prone to miss out or not functioning as expected. I also notice that 'Selected Visuals' is  straight forward when we have lesser number of visuals unlike the design I've implemented.

Even tried by checking Display, Current Page options too across bookmarks updates, none of them worked suitably.

This is hampering UX by users by showing up varied visuals as outcome of feedback actions.

Therefore, requesting the community to share any outcomes/ alternates if you had faced similar scenarios over multiple and many visuals-bookmarks irrespective of conflicting other actions/ visuals in your Power BI reports. Please post for any other details required.

Thanks in advance,

Meghana

Hi @MeghanaSG_95 ,

Do not put so many visual objects on a page to avoid conflicting operations.

I think you can split a page into two pages to show your donut chart.

If you click button E and want to show E, you can hide A by clicking the little eye icon when setting up your bookmark, and similarly, hide E by clicking button A and wanting to show A.

If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me
