Multilingual Reports with Power BI Pro capacity
- 4 years ago
Hi, MarieVolpert
I'm not sure what you meam by 'Translating via Tabular Editor, which only works for Premium capacity'.
If you just want to translate local reports, you don't need Premium capacity at all.
You may need to use premium capacity only if you need to use the XMLA endpoint to connect to the service dataset in real time.

Hi the video from thebipower.fr helped a lot.
I have one report, for wich I am translating metadata.
I translated my originally German Desktop Dataset in English, changed my language settings and uploaded it to the service, where it was finally shown in English. Perfect right?
But because I need multilingual reports, I changed my language setting to another language (e.g. Dutch) in my Desktop, the Service and in Tabular Editor. Uploaded it again. But now the report was still in English.
So: the first translation that I made can´t be reversed.
I have read in many articles that Tabular Editor translations only work perfectly for Power BI Premium.
