Multi-dimensional model with PowerBI on Import Mode

    Hi Anonymous,

     

    When we get data from SSAS cube in Import mode in Power BI desktop, the tables or relationships defined on SSAS side won't be imported to Power BI, we need to select dimensions or measures to generate a new table, then create relationships for these new tables on Power BI side. If you want to keep the SSAS model in Power BI, you need to connect to SSAS cube in a live connection (Connect Live). 

     

    In Power BI desktop, we can create measures for all imported data sources and SSAS tabular, but DirectQuery has some limitations. It's not able to create a measure when Connect Live to SSAS cube, you can vote on this idea: Calculated measures when live connected to MDX cubes
