Multi Factor Authentication with Power BI Desktop
I'm working with a client who wants to move my Power BI account over to MFA. My experience is that this stops refreshing in the cloud when I'm owner of the dataset. I also have a suspicion that this causes refresh failure from Power BI Desktop. Is that correct? Or is it now handled correctly on refresh?
If necessary, we can resolve the cloud issue by using another Power BI account managed centrally by IT.
Thanks!
Hi belvoir99 ,
Yes,enable the MFA and check what happens,I guess it wont have impact on refresh.

belvoir99 , not very clear. For MFA, refer to this old solution

amitchandak - not entirely sure whether you meant I was unclear or the documentation!
Anyway, unless someone else has a brainwave, I think we'll just turn on MFA and see what happens to Power BI Desktop. I'll report back here.- v-kelly-msftCommunity Support
