More than one datasource when pulling from a Power BI dataset

I have several PowerBI reports that pull from one SQL View.  Some of the reports also pull from other data sets as well.  Our thought was to publish the SQL view a "master" dataset and then build all...

I am on December 2020 and as soon as I select the dataset it greys out the rest of my tools.  Is it a Preview setting I need to enable?

    exactly now to enable it go to the botton right and click in this area here a message board will promp you about the change and will enable the direct query mode and new sources.
