Monthly updating

Hi all!

 

I have a question for you all. We have pro license and got Power BI as an app from Microsfto Store. I thought that desktop's update was automatic, but I receive a message within each updating like this > "update available, click to dowload". Is it needed dowloading or new features are on my desktop by default?

    Hi RaulPBI,

     

    Actually, if you install the Power BI Desktop from Windows Store version, you'll always have the latest within a few hrs of them publishing it.

     

    You could have a check what Power BI Desktop version you use by clicking File>>Options>>Updates.

     

    Here is the Version from Windows App store, you could see the Update notifications option is grey out.

     

     

     

    In addition, please check if you have MSI version of Power BI Desktop in your device, you could see it under Control Pannel ==>> Programs and features.

     

    If you have the MSI, please uninstall it and keep you only have the Store Version of Power BI Desktop.

      Hi v-piga-msft . It supossed solved, but it isn't.

       

      I attached two images to clarify. In the first one, you can see that updating notifications is enabled. And in the second one you see my current version, october 2018.

       

      I did what you said, uninstall MBI program and let only Microsoft Store version.

       

      Any idea? I have pro version.

      Hi v-piga-msft I did wht you said and it worked form some months but nowadays in June I have april version, as 

       

      you can see on the attached image. Any idea about this feature does not work actually?
