Month/year/qurter in analysis services

Hello I have a datefield connected with analysis services, and it doesn't seem to have the ability of showing date aggregations, as well as not able to get the functions month/year etc. 
Is there any solution for that?

@Anonymous , in power bi they are year, month and Quarter

Yes, I know that but as I am connected to analysis services this doesn't seem to work (same issue with e.g datediff) that we have to aggregate to use it, although for this I just want the months or years for the whole field, which cannot be given though simply using those commands. Though thanks for the documentation @amitchandak
