Hi All,

In Our report, we have to display the current User Selection(Slicer Selection) in a Card Visual

We have

1. Year Slicer(Single Select)

2. Quarter(Multi Select)

3. Month(Multi Select)

When we display the user selection, it is not coming in sorting order.

Please help..

@powerbidevelope ,

You can add two parameters [order_by_expression] and [order] in concatenatex() function like below:

User Selection = CONCATENATEX(VALUES(Sheet1[CAL_MTH_NAME]),Sheet1[CAL_MTH_NAME],", ", Sheet1[CAL_MTH_NAME], ASC)&"
"&CONCATENATEX(VALUES(Sheet1[CAL_QTR]),Sheet1[CAL_QTR],", ", Sheet1[CAL_QTR], ASC)

Hi @v-yuta-msft @v-yuta-msft

i am just thinking like as we do not have continuous dates, sorting is not working. Is that correct? or any other reasons..

Thanks..

@powerbidevelope ,

Have you solved your issue by now? If you have, could you please help mark the correct answer to finish the thread? Your contribution will be much appreciated.

Regards,

Jimmy Tao

@powerbidevelope ,

Yes, based on my test, concatenatex() will sort by the first charater of the text if the values are not date or number.

So normally you put in a "sort by" column and set your column to sort by that column.
