Modify a PBI report That Uses a Semantic Model

Hi,

I have a Power BI with multiple visuals that I published to a workspace using a specific data model.  Unfortunately I've deleted the desktop model (with all the visuals) that created this Power BI.  I now need to make changes to the actual visuals on the report.  However, when I download the PBI report from the workspace to make changes, it's blank even though it points to the semantic data model.  Is there a way to get the actual PBI with all the visuals and

Hi@PijushRoy,

Yes, they allow us to download the PBIX file.  And that's what I've tried before.  I download the PBIX file (like your instructions state) and it comes to my download folder.  When I open up the PBIX, there are no visuals, but just an empty PBIX with the data tables under the 'Data' tab. See below.

This is what the report looks like in my workspace (some data redacted):

This is what the PBIX looks like when I open it from my downloads:

I would like to be able to modify the one in  my workspace and the only way I know how to do that is to download it to my desktop, make changes, and publish it back to the workspace.  Is there anothe way?

Thanks!
