Model with Power BI Data Sets

I would like to create a data model (with tables and relations), using 2 (or more) PowerBi Datasets as source systems.

Is it possible? when i try to get data froma  PowerBi dataset i don't find the model "option" anymore in the left side of the PowerBi desktop

    Hi PaoloPiubelli ,

    Did you implement the requirement by scheduling the replication of the data and building the model? If yes, please accept the helpful answers as solutions.     PaoloPiubelli you cannot connect to multiple source or make changes to the model if you are connecting to power bi dataset.

      Anonymous just to clarify when yu connect to power bi dataset , you dont have import option, it is always live connection.

        Yes, agreed. I was merely commenting that an import option would be helpful.

    parry2k is correct. Because you can only connect to a Power BI dataset using a live connection, you can only connect to one at a time.

     

    An import option would be handy, just like there already is when connecting to SSAS models. At least then it would possible to connect to multiple models without having to completely rebuild them as one.

    Thanks for your support.

    I would like to not replicate data beacause i'd like to change data in the source systems and be able to see new data in PowerBI in real time.

    I will try to schedule the replication of the data and build the model
