If you have a Tabular Model as a data source with Object Security enabled (eg. hiding GDPR-data) for non-qualified personnel the Power BI Objects will result in "Something's wrong with one or more fields" as the fields are completely hidden for the client.
The desired behaviour would be to show blanks or <hidden> for the fields in the report that are protected.
@MagicMads,
This is how object level security works. Power BI Desktop can't work with tables that have dynamical columns, when you use the object level security functionality to hide columns for specific users, they will get the above error message as they don't have access to the fields.
For your requirement, I would recommend you submit an feature request in Power BI Ideas forum.
Regards,
Lydia
