Missing data in data view

Please share more details such as the Applied Steps or Advanced Editor (M code) for the query, the exact names of the missing columns, the Source step showing how the CSV is loaded etc..

Please check below steps to indentify missing columns/data:-

1. Look in apply steps that

• Filtered Rows
• Removed Blank Rows
• Changed Type
• Removed Errors

2. Check if there's any datatype mismatched/changed

• Text changed to Number
• Or nulls introduced in base data (Check Remove nulls/errors steps)

3. Relationship logic changed

• In model view check for Active relationships
• Bi-directional relationships

4. look for hidden columns from fields pane 

5. Duplicate or changed name with a space like "space" and "space " can break the calculation

6. Ensure data load for the table is enabled in Power Query - right click and enable table load

If nothing works, delete the Older table and try to create with a new fresh table with same name so no calculation breaks.

AR_24 can you refresh the preview in the power query to make sure it is not showing from cache?

As per your description, the columns are visible in Power Query but missing in Data view after publishing and refresh. This typically indicates a model-level issue rather than a data source issue.

Possible Causes & Fixes

1. Column Not Loaded to Model
   Even if the column exists in Power Query, it may not be loaded.

• Go to Power Query → right-click the column
• Ensure “Enable Load” is checked
• Click Close & Apply

1. Column Removed in Applied Steps
   Check if any step is removing or transforming the column:

• Review Applied Steps
• Look for steps like:
• Removed Columns
• Select Columns
• Edit or remove the step if needed
  
  2. Column Hidden in Model
  Sometimes columns are hidden (especially if used only for measures):

• Go to Model view / Data view
• Check if the column is hidden
• Unhide if required
  
  3. Data Type or Errors After Refresh
  If refresh introduces errors:

• Check for errors/nulls in that column
• Ensure correct data type
• Fix any transformation issues
  
  4. Schema Change from Source (CSV in SharePoint)
  If the CSV structure changed (column renamed, reordered, or missing temporarily):

• Power BI may not map it correctly during refresh
• Reopen Power Query and refresh preview
• Reapply steps if needed
  
  5. Incremental / Partial Load Issue (Less Common)
  If using advanced refresh setups, some columns may not load properly after publish.
  
  

Quick Validation

• Compare Desktop vs Service after refresh
• Try:
• Refresh in Desktop → Publish again
• Or Download PBIX from Service (if possible) and compare
