I'm using a couple of tables in Power query and merging them (left outer join). In Power query, this is all fine: I can see the data, the nulls are pulling through, everything is good. However, when I Close and Apply, those columns are then showing as blank in the Data tab and the report itself. I have tried refreshing every possible way but the issue still remains.
Screenshot 1 shows the 4 columns the merge is bringing into the main query in Power Query view:
Screenshot 2 shows that same table on the data tab where all the rows are now completely blank:
If I go back into the query, the data is still populated there.
This has been driving me crazy for days now - can anybody help??
I am having the same exact issue. I merged tables to create a new column (see my post on what exactly I did here - I followed the solution provided here: https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Desktop/Relate-Tables-Function-Without-Need-for-A-Sum/m-p/...)
Now those new columns are not in my data tab even with restarting Pwoer BI, my computer, and hours of google and internet searching. I've tried refreshing the data and just about everything you can think of. Will be following this post hoping there is a solution!
Hi @KatieH ,
Please try below steps:
1. Please check all the operations that you do is correct.
2. If the problem continues to occur, please try to upgrade your Power BI Desktop or uninstall and install a new Power BI Desktop to try it.
If all above couldn't solve this problemn, please provide your desensitized example data, it is very helpful for me to do test .
Thanks for your efforts & time in advance.
