Mismatch between visuals looking at same data

Above is a collection of KPI information.

Click a month in the graph and the card changes to show the number.

This works for all the months except for November and February.

Those months show 18.8 for Nov and 14.7 Feb, not 31 and 32.

I have confirmed they both are looking at the same data.

This scheme works for all the other JPI collections.

What could be going on?

More Info. I just notices one other doing the same thing. In all three instances, the graph jumps by almost 50%. But other graphs with just as high jumps do work. And drops by that much do not show incorrect results.

Strange.

    Hi dthompsonKairos ,
Thank you for reaching out to us on Microsoft Fabric Community Forum!

I tried to recreate it on my end with the sample data and it worked well for me. Here are a few steps to help troubleshoot why November and February are not reflecting the expected values in the card:

    • If the X-axis is using a text-based field (Month) and not sorted by date, Power BI might aggregate values unexpectedly.
    • Multiple Novembers in different years or for different categories may cause average aggregation instead of exact selection. Check if the card is set to Average.
    • Check Visual Interactions to ensure cross-filtering is enabled.

Please refer the screenshot and file for your reference:

I hope this helps. If this answer resolve your query, give us kudos and consider accepting it as solution.

  • You are correct. My data, which should be limited to the last 12 months, had some duplicate months in it for some reason. Thanks for the insight!!
