Microsoft Project Online Timesheet Reporting using Power BI Desktop

Hello,

Beginner's question: I want to test an OData query such as for example:

'

let
Source = OData.Feed(“https://MYSERVERNAME.sharepoint.com/sites/MYPROJECTWEBAPP/_api/ProjectData “),
....

...

But I don't find where and how to introduce this query into Power BI Desktop.

Thanks for your help

Take a look at this blog post I did some time back on doing Project Online Timesheet reporting with Power BI. https://tumbleroad.com/2015/11/11/microsoft-project-online-timesheet-reporting-using-power-bi-deskto...

Hope this helps!

Hi GD61,

Firstly, you can connect to Project Online with OData in Power BI Desktop following the instructions in this
article. Then you can change your OData query using Advanced Editor of Query Editor, for more details about Advanced Editor, please review the following article.

https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-desktop-query-overview/

Thanks,
Lydia Zhang
