Microsoft Access- two sets of tables after Dataverse Migration

Hi, I am creating a dashboard based on tables in my Microsoft Access database. Eventually I will migrate everything out of Access but in the meantime, this is the application my back end user is comfortable with. I decided to try to link my tables to the Dataverse. After doing so I was leve with 2 sets of tables- linked and local. My question is, where do we do data entry now- the linked tables or the local tables? Will the local tables automatically update the linked tables? Thanks in advance- full disclosure- I am very new to this.
