Hello team, I have a problem because in the Microsoft 365 usage analytics app I only see data aggregated by month in table "TenantProductActivity" and and data only of 1/5/2020 in the table UserActivity.
Also when I connect to this using PowerBI Desktop i see in the table "UserActivity" in the TimeFrame column only values of 1/5/2020, but in the "Microsoft 365 admin center" I see data daily.
Does anyone why in the "UserActivity" table is only one day? its related to limitations or I'm doing something wrong?
Thanks
Hi guys,
I've encountered the same problem. My job is to monitor and report MS Teams usage in organisation. I am granted the Report Reader role and am able to access Microsoft 365 usage analytics data model. However the data in the model is aggregated into months (as it is described above) ("This API provides information about the monthly trend of usage of the various Microsoft 365 services.").
Is there any chance I can access the same data but on higher level of granularity, i.e. aggregated into weeks/daily?
I'd be really grateful for any suggestions.
Hello, the issue is not about refresh. There are two questions:
1- Why i see only data of May-2020
2- Why the data in table UserActivity is monthly aggregated and not daily.
Hi @Anonymous
Hope this helps:
Please refer to this document:
When you connect to the template app for the first time, it will automatically populate with your data for the previous 12 months. After that, the template app data will refresh weekly. Customers can choose to modify the refresh schedule if their use of this data demands a different update rhythm.
The back-end Microsoft 365 service will refresh data on a daily basis and provides data that is between 5-8 days latent from the current date.
@Anonymous , there is new version update : https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/usage-analytics/get-the-latest-version-of-usage-analytics?view=o365-worldwide
Hello Amitchandak, I have the version 8 installed. I think is the last one, right? If not, the latest one have the informacion daily and not aggregated monthly?
Regards
