Metric as a Slicer

Hi,

 I am creating a dahsboard for a department and they have 3 metrics, Quantity, Sales, Margin.

 I have a visual which is by depot and what I would like the user to do is select either of the 3 metrics and that selection then filters the visual.

 I have seen this done but am stuck on how to create it.

 Your help once again appreciated as always
