Merging Lines

darrenvermaak_0-1720802328170.png

Hello, Could someone tell me if and how I can merge these lines together to be only three lines? I want to keep all the companies that have X number of deals in one line with all the companies only showing if I hover over the selected line.

Thanks and kind regards,

Darren

Hi,@darrenvermaak

I am glad to help you.

According to your description, you want to merge these lines together to be only three lines?

If I understand you correctly, then you can refer to my solution.

First you need to create a table for the corresponding Deals, remembering to establish a relationship for both tables:

Then New Column:

MergeCompany =
SWITCH (
    TRUE (),
    'Table1'[Deals] = 3,
        CONCATENATEX (
            FILTER ( 'Table1', 'Table1'[Deals] = 3 ),
            'Table1'[Company],
            ","
        ),
    'Table1'[Deals] = 2,
        CONCATENATEX (
            FILTER ( 'Table1', 'Table1'[Deals] = 2 ),
            'Table1'[Company],
            ","
        ),
    'Table1'[Deals] = 1,
        CONCATENATEX (
            FILTER ( 'Table1', 'Table1'[Deals] = 1 ),
            'Table1'[Company],
            ","
        )
)

Finally drag the newly created Column field into Tooltips and this is the final result:

I hope my suggestions give you good ideas, if you have any more questions, please clarify in a follow-up reply.

Best Regards,
Fen Ling,

Can you please advise? I am struggling my a** off

Hi,@darrenvermaak

You should change all the table name to the table where the field company exists. For example, in my case it's Table1.
