Merge two different PBIX reports

Hi all,

Is there a quick way to import whole tables and slides from a different Power BI report while using the desktop version.

I need to avoid having two power bi reports running the simultaneously as my decent 8g RAM pc crashes within seconds.

Any advice will be appreciated and if this doesn't exist, I would definitely recommend it for the next updates!

Many thanks,

There is current no direct method of combining pbix files, the workaround can be copy past the query from one pibx to the other pibx.

At this point there isn't any direct option to merge two report, unless you want to create a dashboard.

A quick method which I know is to copy query by query.

Open advanced editor for each query, copy the code and paste it as new query in the new report. All the applied steps will stay intact.

Once you have defined the relationships in the data model, go to selection panel in the old report page, select all elements in a page, copy and paste them in a new page in the new report. Repeat this for all the pages.

Other than background image, you could copy everything.

Hope this helps.

Kudos are nice too.
