Merge tables

Hi,

I'm trying to merge two tables ,assuming Table has duplicate records and I'm deleting the duplicates before merging based on a certain criteria (date descending) ,ie delete record with the older date..but after mergeing the data in the new table has picked the record with the older date instead of the latest date...does it mean that although we delete duplicates in tables before merging...Powerbi still looks into the full table...please provide a solution.

  • Hi Anonymous,

    Based on my test, I suggest you to add an index column to merge tables.

    After you hvae remove the duplicate rows, you could add the index column and merge the two tables like the picture below:

    Result:
