Merge Query error columns of same type when they are

Hello  - I'm trying to merge 2 tables into one query but I keep getting Select Colunf of the same type error message - however my columns are of the same type.  Any ideas? thank you

Hi @ctedesco3307 

 

You have to check the data type in Power Query like in the image bellow:

Both most be like number "123".

Thanks - but I can't even get that far. When I select the tables I get the error before the query is made. Both columns are of the same type in the tables. 

@ctedesco3307 can you share the power bi file so i can see what is happening?
