Merge Error for duplicates for primary key when it's not the primary key.

Hey guys im trying to merge these two tables.

After I hit apply though it keeps giving me this error, which doesnt make sense since im not merging on that column and it's not the primary key.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it is odd. 

 

And generally, if you are doing the right steps in Merge option. It will display a correct message under the Join Kind. Like:

However, there's no message in your screenshot. Could you please share us your pbix file with One Drive or Google Drive if possible? Otherwise it is hard for us to say where the issue is.

My coworked messed up a previous table. 5 hours of headscratching. It was an easy fix
